Is it stonewalling if your partner refuses to speak to you about a certain topic because once you had a discussion on that topic and your response/questions upset/offended them?

I agree with OP - this is worrying behaviour from him after just a month. I assumed you had been together a couple of years or something - I think he is putting far too much on you after such a short amount of time. And now the silent treatment. I would learn from this one and move on.
