I lied to her face!

I slept with her husband and when she asked me I lied to her face, multiple times. we both did.

She trying to work on the relationship and is now living a lie. Going through therapy and rebuilding.. He is still chasing me and she has no idea.

I know she's been miserable for a long time she told me and I feel terrible because she said if you had a physical relationship I couldn't continue because I couldn't forgive him again.

I know I was wrong but I also didn't know he was married at the time. I also feel like it isn't my place to tell her but I feel terrible and I would want to know. Would you have said?

How do you know her if you didn’t know he was married

Shock
Nunckybunchchuck · 10/08/2022 12:02

How did she come to suspect you if she didn't know you?

ishouldofjustsaid · 10/08/2022 12:05

I found out about her because she contacted me, she found my number in his call history

Great 1st post 🙄

Nunckybunchchuck · 10/08/2022 12:06

If she's checking his call history then she was suspicious so maybe he's been doing this sort of thing a long time with others. Get STD check OP.

If you genuinely didn't know he was married, I'd tell her. Apologise profusely for not telling the truth in the first place but say you were having problems with your conscience and feel she should know the truth and that he is still chasing after you. Poor woman deserves that at least

eggsandbaconeveryday · 10/08/2022 12:31

Is there a reason why you haven't blocked all forms of contact with this dreadful man ?

I agree with this.

KettrickenSmiled · 10/08/2022 12:51

I also feel like it isn't my place to tell her
😂😂😂

Congratulations on your moral sensitivity OP, it is outstandingly good of you to make sure you don't overstep any boundaries by telling a cheated-on woman who has asked for the truth that yes, her H is a cheat.

The last thing you want is for any PP here to scold you for stepping out of your place. I mean sure - you shagged someone else's husband & are deliberately lying to her despite her request that you own up, but at least you haven't committed some kind of gross social faux pas by being truthful. You're not a monster - you have standards, & standards must be upheld!

Nerdsarecoolwhatdoyoumean · 10/08/2022 12:55

Tell her, she deserves to know the truth.

Time to come clean @ishouldofjustsaid

BadNomad · 10/08/2022 13:58

He did a shitty thing. He is continuing to be a shitty person. You are helping him. What did she ever do to you to deserve this?

Cornflakegirll · 10/08/2022 14:07

Just give her her personal agency back now. One call right now. Don’t let her carry on being gaslit, lied to and manipulated anymore by this nasty piece of work. And then block him on absolutely everything.

MsDogLady · 10/08/2022 18:20

OP, she asked you for the truth and deserves your honesty. Stop colluding with this despicable specimen to make a fool of her. Contact her and come clean.

Pinkbonbon · 10/08/2022 18:51

Oh ffs, it's not rocket science op. You message her the truth you apologise apologise lying in the first place. You send her a screenshot of his messages. And then you block him.

Stop being a pussy, find some moral fibre and do the decent thing.

Username0308 · 10/08/2022 22:30

This is a no-brainer really. She deserves the truth. Call her and tell her. Tell her everything.

How would you feel if you were living a lie, and someone else had the power to tell you the truth but chose not to?

It's unfair on her. She obviously suspects her husband is cheating to have checked his phone and contacted you, and her mental health is now probably suffering because she's still suspicious but is probably being made out to be paranoid. Do the right thing, please!

wellhelloitsme · 10/08/2022 22:38

I would message and say you're sorry, you were caught off guard but now realise it's best to be honest. Tell her what happened and that you don't want to be further involved but wish her the best.
