Either it's bullshit, and raising false hope in suggestable people (true) or it's not and you are using the universe to force someone to do something against their interests, even though you acknowledge you fucked up <shudder>

Even if you believe this nonsense, it's awful.

Agreed @MrsTerryPratchett. It basically ruled my life at one point, with the whole "thoughts create your reality". I went through a really bad phase and thought because I was thinking it, my life was ruined.
