Erectile Disfunction

I've been dating someone for a few months. The last 2 times we've had sex, he's had problems maintaining an erection and hasn't orgasmed. The sex was great until this, evening and morning.

I think he's gone off me hasn't he?

Highly unlikely he'd 'go off' you in the middle of sex.

Why would you jump to this odd conclusion?
Do you struggle with low self esteem generally?

If a man loses an erecting during sex its much more likely to be something going on with him rather than you.

Maybe he is stressed, maybe it's a health issue, maybe he has issues with watch too much porn and so cant keep an errection without it. Heck, maybe he is just getting old and needs a dose of viagra.

Highly unlikely to be because of you.
If he didn't fancy you, he wouldnt be shagging you in the first place.

I don't think he's gone off me in the middle of sex. I think maybe he's gone off me in general.

I doubt he has gone off you, there are loads of reasons men can suffer from ED & it’s a different subject for men to talk about

Dilemmaemmaaa · 18/07/2022 21:06

No chances are the first time he has panicked about it and it’s then made it happen the second time, it’s as much mental as anything else 🤦🏼‍♀️ My partner suffers from it from time to time and it’s putting me off (and him I think) instigating anything. I know he must be dreading it happening again but it’s so frustrating when you just have to say nothing because it’s not his fault

FortonServices · 18/07/2022 21:15

So what do I do?

OP posts:
ProfessorInkling · 18/07/2022 21:16

What does he suggest?

So what do I do?

Focus on activities that don't involve PIV sex. Cuddle, make out, oral, etc. It's okay to talk to him about it too.

How old is he? There are often medical reasons for ED. Does he smoke?

Pinkbonbon · 18/07/2022 21:28

Just a thought op, but do you organism every time you have sex with a partner? Is it a big deal if you don't sometimes? Would your partner always be desperate to find out why you didn't if you didn't? Would he be on a forum asking why not? Probably not, right?

People don't have to orgasm every time they have sex. He clearly can orgasm as he has before. So I don't see the point I stressing over it.

Pinkbonbon · 18/07/2022 21:29

*orgasm even xD

EntertainingandFactual · 18/07/2022 21:37

Too much to drink last night? Hangover this morning?

YRGAM · 18/07/2022 22:01

The chances of him having developed ED because he's 'gone off you' are pretty much zero. There are many causes of ED, try to read up on them.

StrangeCondition · 18/07/2022 22:07

My DP has bouts of this due to his medication, he certainly hasn't gone off me as he'll find other ways to satisfy me. Don't jump to the wrong conclusions OP

Hawkins001 · 18/07/2022 22:13

It's a mix of reasons, sometimes with me, I'm more focused on trying to please the lady, that I don't fully relax and achieve, results, with that reguards.

imnotthatkindofmum · 18/07/2022 22:16

My dh has had problems lately. It was upsetting me as I've put on weight and I thought it was that. To prove it wasn't (and I love him for this as he doesn't talk about this stuff). He just went on an online docs and talked about the issue and got some viagra. The doc said it could be his meds or it could be hormonal or perhaps as it happened once and then became psychological and he couldn't really definitively answer as nothings really changed recently 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's not uncommon, especially over 40.

So what do I do?

As others say, try and relax and just cuddle up for a while and put PIV to one side, try some massages on each other

Ok let’s stop playing pretend here that women orgasm at the same rate as men during PiV, totally different.

OP, you’ve only been seeing him a couple of months, not sure if you’re after anything serious or just some fun? I’m not sure I’d hang round if I was just after something casual, but if it’s more than that, is it worth a conversation? Has he said anything about it?
