No pets or if have them no health issues and well house trained
Good tradespeople in the area that answer the phone and turn up!

Me right now , living my best life after a lot of strife.
Good health
Single
No kids
2 dogs
nice home no neighbours
plenty of money in the bank
Job I enjoy with great people
and more than any of this a few good friends and small close family .

I suppose it depends on the person.
Im 29, live alone and mortgage free in a nice area, good job.
I have no kids, my partner and I are long distance so see each other every other week. Feels very lonely and the thought of being 30 next month and having no kids feels terrifying.

AHungryCaterpillar · 08/04/2022 11:40

But the thread is what’s the most “stress free” living situation and sorry having kids is very very stressful!

AntarcticTern · 08/04/2022 11:59

But feeling the full weight of responsibility for meeting the mortgage payments, coping alone if things go wrong etc can also be stressful.

BeyondMyWits · 08/04/2022 12:09

Mortgage paid, married to a good man, kids grown and sailing their own way. Work part time... one wage pay the bills... other pay the extras. Bliss.

I have 3 grown DC, they have never been stress-free but I see it as life-enhancing stress - who wants an easy life? And what they give back to me in terms of fun and support makes it all worthwhile.

Otherwise, I have a sweet and undemanding DP who lives here part-time, a lodger and a dog, lovely neighbours and a rewarding self-employed business. I’ll never not worry about money a bit but again that’s what drives me on. A stress-free life would be so boring!

@seekingasimplelife

Outer life - Becoming financially independent, Living in a nice place in a nice area, Supportive family/friends,

Inner life -
Having clear boundaries, prioritising serenity, avoiding drama.
Living a simple life with integrity and self reliance.
Finding a sense of purpose and contribution to society,
Gratitude for what you have, and acceptance of things you cannot change.

I love this list. Sums it up.
