Hi everyone I am new to this site and first time asking a question smile

My partner (30years old) has a rapid heartbeat after he eats meals. He wears a Fit Bit and the reading has gone up to 110-122bpm, this is when he has finished eating and he is sitting down. This happens everytime he eats.
However his heart rate has increased when he stands or turns round in bed. I have been doing some research and came across Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS),
which I suspect. My partner does suffer from Fibromyalgia. I have mentioned PoTS & CFS to the doctor (which they
shrugged off and didn't really address) and they have said to come in to have blood tests taken again which we plan on doing so. Has anyone had this issue before at all, I am very concerned and would appreciate any help or advice people can give me?? Thank you in advance

How active/fit is your partner? Heartrate can go up after eating or any activity and the less fit you are then the more this would be a spike. What's his resting heart rate?

Thank you for your message :).

Due to Covid we haven't been really going out but before lockdown he was semi active, like going for a walk. Now he walks about the house than going out, so not very active to be honest. His resting heart rate is 80bpm.

I'm not sure you can diagnose things with the help of Dr Google.

But that sounds like a high RHR for age 30 and 'walking about the house' is not exercise. He could just be unfit rather than have anything seriously wrong.

Does he drink coffee with a meal? It can raise HR.
