Partner's Health Concerns

Hi everyone I am new to this site and first time asking a question smile

My partner (30years old) has a rapid heartbeat after he eats meals. He wears a Fit Bit and the reading has gone up to 110-122bpm, this is when he has finished eating and he is sitting down. This happens everytime he eats.
However his heart rate has increased when he stands or turns round in bed. I have been doing some research and came across Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS),
which I suspect. My partner does suffer from Fibromyalgia. I have mentioned PoTS & CFS to the doctor (which they
shrugged off and didn't really address) and they have said to come in to have blood tests taken again which we plan on doing so. Has anyone had this issue before at all, I am very concerned and would appreciate any help or advice people can give me?? Thank you in advance :)

Could be any of the above, including the Fibromyalgia or nothing. CFS/ME has very similar symptoms to Fibromyalgia. If you're thinking he has CFS because of extreme fatigue it can be a symptom of Fibromyalgia too. Diagnosis often depends on your GPs knowledge of both and referral to relevant specialist. If the predominant issue is pain you usually end up with a Fibromyalgia diagnosis, if the initial complaint is about disabling fatigue you'll get a CFS diagnosis, but chronic pain can also be a CFS symptom . Once you have a broad diagnosis like Fibromyalgia/CFS it can be very hard to get a doctor to listen about new symptoms, the standard response is that's a symptom of your chronic illness, which it could be, or a medication side effect. Has he changed or increased medication recently? So many times I'll go I'm experiencing X,y,z new symptoms and the response will be they're all side effects of your medication.

Is he in pain after eating? Some sort of gastric issue? POTs you'd expect him to feeling faint on standing up suddenly too. It might help for him to keep a record for a couple of weeks of these increased heart rates when they occur, what his normal rate is when seated but not eating, any other new symptoms and so on. Though I think it's unlikely you'll get more answer than that's from his Fibromyalgia.
