Block or just mute?

If you aren't being mucked around by someone would you block/mute or ignore them.

I feel like blocking them draws attention in a way just muting them on whattsap doesn't. But obviously if you mute them you can see there online etc.

Opinions?

@chattycaterpillar

Why do you mind him knowing you've blocked him ?
I think it's because then he knows I'm bothered by his behaviour? Not sure.

Would have said it's because we had said we'd stay friends but he's not acting like my friend now so don't think it's that.

Or that because of his bereavement I don't want to hurt him but his bereavement doesn't mean he gets a free pass to act badly.

So what if he does?!

You're done with him but are preoccupied with checking if he's online etc.

Simple solution - block him then delete his contact details to remove all temptation.

Him knowing whether you're bothered or not has zero effect on you then moving on.

OP, I don’t know how long you’ve been OLD, but with enough time you’ll come to realise there are an awful lot of time wasting men out there with a convenient recent dead granny / cousin / dog preventing them from feeling strong enough to arrange dates or stick to plans. You’ve met this man once and have no idea whether anything he’s told you is actually true. You’re trusting him and thinking about not hurting him because you’re a nice person; all the while, he’s going about his life without even a thought for you let alone wanting to be your friend. He isn’t a nice man - but even if he was as nice a man as you seem to believe he is, then he’ll completely understand that his pisstaking is the reason you’ve blocked him?

@ComtesseDeSpair

I know the bereavement is true because I've seen the fundraising pages etc.

It was a year ago so I knew he wasn't in the place to date and said this to him.

I listened to his denials and ignored what I knew. Twice.

I know I'm an idiot.
