Was talking to my friend the other day about her panic attacks and suddenly realised all her problems stems from one incident, where she was almost raped when she was 14. I knew about it then. We were talking about it, but are not sure who could help her? Psychologist? Somebody specialising in sexual attack victims? I thought I will ask here as don't want to ask people IRL.

EMDR could work really well for her.

To sum it up basically sometimes traumatic incidents stay 'stuck' in the body causing things like panic attacks etc. (obviously there is a wide range of issues that can occur)
When the trauma isn't processed properly then a person can become very easily triggered.

EMDR helps to process the incident which lessens the effects of the memories and responses to traumatic incidents.
