The freedom programme, starting this week.. Any tips or feedback?

I'm nearly 2 years away from my abusive ex, I fled very awful domestic violence with my then 18 month old.
It's taken me 2 years to rebuild somewhat of a life for my daughter and I and I haven't been ready to access any kind of interventional or therapeutic input as I've been in court proceedings..
I've now received a place for the freedom programme after being on the waiting list for several months. I'm due to commence the programme this week.
Any feedback from those who have done it?
Do I need to purchase the work book and modules?

We were given materials but I got the book out of the local library. They will cover most of it in the sessions.

The group was a surreal experience it was actually very light hearted except for the week about sexual abuse. I found it very difficult hearing about other people's experiences because in many situations I felt that what happened to me wasn't that bad. I do remember sharing a little story and having people really listen and offer feedback (most other people would just offer awkward silence) really helped. I do miss the group but it was cancelled in lockdown.

It's really difficult space but also has a lot of laughs. Absolutely recommend it.

Stick at it.
Some parts are more relevant than others, and some parts triggering but it helped me to know it wasn't my fault after all..
The course is eye opening.
I found it interesting and
I still refer to my book years on although I find I can spot a mile off which personality's to avoid since doing the course.

Best thing I've ever done.
Such a great group of women as well.

We were given the book to fill in during the sessions.
I really enjoyed it. We had a real feeling of solidarity in the group.
You could share experiences, if you wanted to. Some people spoke a lot, others not at all.
It was surprising, how many of us had shared similar experiences.
It helped on my healing journey.
So glad you got away from your abusive ex and have rebuilt your life.
It takes a lot of bravery.
Wishing you a great future.
