DS literally copies and follows Husband!!!

My DS will literally copy my DH most days - is this usual..?

DH will give me a kiss and cuddle, then DS will run over and do exactly the same..

It's like the way my husband is with me is how my son is learning to be/mimicking..

Do other kids do this too? Very influenced by dad? I'm guessing it's more of a father / son thing..

Thanks

How old is DS?

NotaCoolMum · 13/12/2021 21:06

If he’s 18 then yes that would be unusual… if he’s young it’s perfectly normal- why does this bother you?

Darkpheonix · 13/12/2021 21:06

Yeah how old is he. If he is 32, it's unusual.

If he is 2....not so much.

That’s literally how kids learn. And why displaying negative relationship traits is so dangerous around small children. He’s learning what a loving relationship looks like. Bless him

Totally normal, a part of learning in copying others. Sadly my daughter reached that stage late, she is autistic, spent years doing therapy trying to encourage her to mimic others in order for her to engage. Now she’s 15 and copies everything I do and it’s not so cute 🤣 (not to others anyway), I feel kind of honoured as I’m obviously a pretty cool person if she wants to be like me.

How old is he?
It’s normal for little kids.

Sorry I forgot to mention, my DS is just over 3years old..

He is literally a sponge and picks up everything.. I know most do.

Of course it is normal. That is how children learn.
