The morning after (light hearted)

Does anyone else struggle to look their dh in the eye after a steamy night without blushing / getting the giggles?

We are vanilla personified until we've had a drink! Last night we had an overnight baby sitter, a hotel stay and a boozy night out. First time in forever.

Let's just say things were way steamier than usual. I've felt giddy all day and his mum did not help when she asked if I wanted an extra sausage on the dinner she made us when we picked ds up!

I'm mid 40s, we've been together 13+ years but I always feel a bit shy the morning after a shag. Last night was another level (humble brag) though!

Anyone else or am I a lone weirdo on this one?

Hmm
Workyticket · 14/11/2021 22:38

Ah I really did mean this to be light hearted.

I just think it's a weird clash and have never known how to be after.

We're both pretty down to earth / grounded people and I find it bizarre how different people can be in the sack compared to everyday life.

Never had to face relatives but one night in a hotel I didn't realise until next morning my scarf had snagged the door open as we got back into the room

And it was open all night..
Blush
I skipped breakfast and hurried to the car..

Workyticket · 14/11/2021 22:44

Just to be clear we were in a hotel - DPiL were at their house and definitely didn't overhear Grin

Oh bloody hell @Pumpkinsonparade that's mortifying - and hilarious!

No

Namehunting001 · 14/11/2021 22:47

Hmm no

lovablequalities · 14/11/2021 22:51

For sure! A bit giggly and knowing after a delicious night. Is that not half the loveliness?

I can only assumed the blunt "no" folk never have gorgeous, unexpected , awesome sex or maybe they have it all the time and are so, so bored by "vanilla" folk.

You are grand, OP, we get you!

Workyticket · 14/11/2021 22:54

Thanks @lovablequalities

I just find it so weird sometimes from being a sexy vixen (I was vv tipsy, genuinely thought I was one!) to 'fancy a cuppa love?' the next morning!

I think that sounds sweet, and maybe your husband will pick up on your shy like behaviour next day and find it alluring.

Hats off to you making most of a night away - i know couples who simply catch up with sleep when kid free!

Blush he's been coy too - it's been lovely actually, we've had an, ahem, dry patch recently and it's like new again but naughtier

I think it's probably because you have had a dry patch so it all feels fresh and exciting. We're never shy the morning after, one of us just usually says what good sex it was 😀

I'm openly jealous! Grin it's been well over a year for me now and then it was with men who treated me like dirt afterwards so lucky you OP!

Wish me well in finding this for myself one day 🤞

MrsCatE · 15/11/2021 00:07

I’m effing jealous!! Good on you missus!! More Princess Di coy stylie, head down, eyes looking up through dewy lashes etc to remind him of previous night’s shenanigans!

Tbh - that reminds me more of George Clooney; perhaps keep that to yourself if it resonates?! Wink

Onthedunes · 15/11/2021 00:20

That is sweet.

Good being in love isn't it?

Enjoy these days.

Peakypolly · 15/11/2021 00:28

Yes, sometimes I even feel a bit weak in the knees when I catch his eye and remember. It's particularly tingly if you are sat at breakfast with others so trying to be 'normal'. And we've been married over 30 years!

Workyticket · 15/11/2021 19:28

Glad it's not just me!

Going to make a consciousness effort from now on, I forget how good it can be so don't often put the effort in.

Drinks and a child free hotel room really help though!
