Dating a guy who is a mildly successful stand up comedian... AIBU to feel as though I'm providing him with material?

Am I being ridiculous?

3 dates in. He seems lovely, very charming, no obvious red flags, but I'm so wary of sharing anything in case it inadvertently end up on Youtube!

I'm a teacher, and I do come home and talk about my day- never anything confidential, but a funny thing a pupil said, a nice thing that happened, occasionally if something not so good happens and I need to debrief.

At what point do you have a 'please warn me if you're using me for content' chat?

I'm a comedian OP. It would never occur to me to use stuff that had happened to someone else as part of my act. Or to use a partner's funny experiences and somehow pass them off as something I could use. I would certainly enjoy hearing about them though!

I use stuff that has actually happened to me. Also it all depends on what his material has been like so far? The Scottish comedian Limmy has a long term partner for example and he never brings her up or uses her for material.

I worked with comedians for many years. The routines they do, they frequently do for months, sometimes years. It's very unlikely that three dates in he has gotten any material from you. Comedians don't tell jokes they make up that night or that week, they have set routines that they perfect over time, very very very very rare one would try something funny that 'just happened that day/week' as much as the delivery is perfected to make you think it is.
