It looks like me and DP are breaking up right now... I'm nearly 7 months pregnant.

If he goes back on his word I will be homeless and have to move in with my parents (I already have one DS7, there is 1 room we could have). DS will have to change schools.

Fuck. What a way to bring a baby into the world.

Oh gosh, what a horrible situation for you, lovely, and how cruel of your P to do this to you, your son and your unborn child.
Will your parents provide emotional support as well as the practical support?
I’m sorry this is happening to you Flowers

Presumably you don’t co-own your home or are renting and can’t pay the rent on your own? If either is the case then moving in with your parents, who love you and will have your back, will be far better than relying on the goodwill of an ex who is unlikely to tolerate housing you / paying for your housing long term or once he meets somebody new. Much better to move out now and be settled and supported when the baby arrives than have the upheaval of moving with a small baby.

Plenty of children grow up with separated parents from birth or not far off it, and they’re absolutely fine. More fine than children who grow up in homes with two miserable, fighting parents. Your baby will do great. The most important thing is for you to be able to co-parent amicably, is that likely to be possible?

I should have split with my h at 7 months pregnant but I didn't and ended up breaking up when ds was 14mo instead
What's the reason for the split? Is it 100% unsalvageable? If so best to get out now and be settled for the birth
