Where do I go from here?

I've had a bust up with DH and DS at work (I guess a recipe for disaster in itself working together but we have to currently) mainly with DS (19) , but DH got involved and DS got even more angry. DH shouted at me to go home, so I left (leaving them in the lurch as work is busy - customer facing but no customers there at time of bust up thank god)
I'm now sat in Asda Car Park wondering where to go from here. This has been brewing for a while, i don't want to go home as they will come home soon. I'd love to check into a hotel for a night (admittedly partly as a way of punishing them both for taking me for granted) but feel an idiot plus don't know any open. So am resigned to sitting in a car park until it closes.
What an idiot I am.

Loads of hotels are open, hve a Google and give yourself a break if that's what you need

nolovelost · 05/06/2021 20:01

It would depend on what they did. If it's something bad, then I wouldn't hesitate to have a break away for a night. If it was trivial, go home and talk about it.

Aw bless you. Grab yourself some provisions and have a good think about what’s working and what isn’t. Bust ups happen, they’re uncomfortable but it’s the root cause that’s important. Apologise for parts you should apologise for and communicate where you feel others need to apologise as well as how to address the root problem.

I guess we need to all talk calmly at some point. I've put phone on do not disturb but can see DH has sent messages. It's all so stressful at work at the moment, no staff etc so he's under immense pressure but he's so irritable all the time. DS thins he knows it all and ends up not listening. It's all such a bloody mess and we are all so quick to get shouty quickly.
I'm still in the car. Can't even go home because DD is there with friends and will be mortified if I turn up earlier than I said (we agreed she could have a few friends over while we all at work)

I think I’d read your husband’s messages. See how you feel then?

So you had a bust up with your son at work and your husband got involved and undermined you. Neither of them have any respect for you. Am assuming you are senior to your son here ?

If this is the case, things need to change, or it will happen again.
