How do people “rise above it” with their ex ? Especially those that you share children with ?
I still worry over his opinion and if he’s off with me I worry why and can’t stop thinking about it. I wish I could just block him out of my life.
We split up 5 months ago and he’s already introduced our children to the OW, it’s like a never ending shit show

Block him on everything. Communicate only via email and strictly only about arrangements for the children. Make sure all replies are excruciating polite and blunt to avoid conversation. Accept whatever he does with the children is his business and consciously make efforts to keep him out of your mind and keep busy.

You'll get over it, I promise.

If you feel over the worst part of the breakup, throw yourself into dating, even if it's just for fun. Also, throw yourself into some hobbies, especially ones that get you out (when the children are with their dad) Acceptance helps, too.

As for communication with him, keep it light, simple and to the point (childcare). Acting like you don't care and that you're happy helps, but it's not a necessity.

Lastly, live your best life. Fuck him. Wink
