How to move on

I can't seem to get over my ex

I still mourn the family I thought we would be. Our baby is 1 and he comes and sees them for 1 morning per week.

It's only been about a month since it was clear we were never going to get back together.

But I always still seem to have that hope! He is even dating someone else and I still have it. I know it's delusional.

Can anyone give me any tips?!

Is there a reason why he isn’t taking the child, might make it easier to move on

What and doesn't see me? He could do this if he wanted and something I should try implement.

The baby has become wary of him due to the little contact and gets upset when I leave.

Why would you still pine for a man who can't even be bothered to be a proper father to their child? You're well rid of him.

Yeh you need to separate you and the child, is he coming to your house to see the child? I would put some distance between you both

I know it is sad. He has been so rubbish.

He was just so amazing! I feel like we could get back to that point.

I know it's stupid, I really know.

I wish I could just flick a switch.

Yes as he now lives 1.5 hours away

Give yourself time, it's only been a month. You're bound to struggle.

He can't have been that amazing if it all fell apart and he buggered off 90 minutes away from his child.

You are right, I know you are right

I just very expected it at all, I thought we were solid.

I really really wish I could just listen to the facts and accept it but I cant let it go!!!

It’s hard and if there was only an off switch it would be so much easier, I understand I’m living this too. It will take time so be kind to yourself, the things your feeling and your thoughts are completely normal and valid, it’s very difficult to break that connection you have with someone in a relationship, especially one your fully vested in a felt was solid.

Thank you!

I hope you are ok?

I hope we will both get through this very very soon! Xxx
