He's cooking - what to bring?

I've been dating a guy for a few weeks and he has invited me for dinner tomorrow (well actually today now seeing as it's past midnight!) I am awake fretting about what I should bring as I don't want to turn up empty handed. He is trying to be careful with what he eats/drinks at the moment so, whilst I would usually bring beer/wine/chocolates etc it would be a bit thoughtless to do that. What could I bring instead? It doesn't seem appropriate to bring flowers as he has a bit of a lad's pad. Any ideas very welcome!

Over thinking!

If he drinks alcohol at all would just take something he prefers to drink. Or whatever non alcoholic beverage he likes.

A bottle of whatever you like to drink then at least you know if the rest is a flop at least you can have a glass of that! He won't be bothered either way

If you’re early in dating and he’s invited you to him, he’s expecting sex. If that’s what you’re looking for, take condoms. If not, rearrange the date for somewhere neutral.

Thanks everyone! I had asked him what to bring but he said 'just yourself'. I ended up bringing a house plant and a fruit salad and it went down very well. Thanks again!
