Bullying allegation

Morning mumsnet,
A quick question - The wording I used to my manager last week was 'I felt bullied' in answer to question as to why I didn't raise (yet another) objection to taking on a task which I had not agreed to do following redundancy of colleague. Senior manager was in room unknown to me and boss passed phone to them. I then got an email saying I have made a bullying allegation against X. My questions are - is this an invasion of privacy as boss didn't say who was there? Also - I feel like it was a set up to get this allegation process going as that is what is now happening, senior boss saying there is now an investigation. Why would they want that and do you advise I say, I didn't raise a formal grievance, I answered a question and expressed my feeling of being bullied.

If you are in a union, seek out your local rep and tell them the situation. Make it clear that you thought this was a private conversation. The with any further interactions regarding this matter make sure you have a witness to all communications - whilst making it clear that your witness is present, unlike how they went about this with you. If you have a HR department, perhaps discuss with them ( again with a rep present).

Okay thank you @Opentooffers
Could they discipline me for 'making an allegation' if they whitewash their investigation? Or would that be too ironic? I was working from home so technically they don't know who is around either right?

Difficult to know, hard to tell by your wording, if you had raised objections to other tasks you'd been asked to do, or had agreed to them.
If set a task, is it expected that you will do it or is it required that that they seek agreement first? Is the gripe that a set task wasn't done, because you were already overworked, but did not tell them at the time that it would not be possible, so no alternative strategy was put in place to get it done, so the task lapsed? They might just be looking at if your workload demands have been reasonable, it could work out better for you in the long run now they know your feelings, so too early to worry about at this point.

Following the redundancy of colleague and distribution of their tasks in the team, yes we all had a meeting following an attempt to give me practically all the work. In the meeting all was agreed, fictional minutes of meeting were then sent but that's another thread!
In the latest attempt, manager tried to give me another of their work tasks and I was silent in response, no agreement. Then the text message, then the phone-call (I thought was private!)
Yes, am part of a union, thank you for advice @Opentooffers, will call them tomorrow
