I can't forget him...

I've been married for 25 years, not very happily. About 17 years ago I met someone online and fell for him in a big way. We saw each other as much as we could behind hubbys back who knew nothing about it.
It gradually fizzled out and eventually we split about 6 years ago ... Me and hubby carried on and things got better between us...
About 4 months ago, out of the blue the online guy messaged to see if I was ok due to lockdown, he'd tracked me down via social media.. we've messaged quite a bit since he got back in touch.
I'm confused as I don't think he feels the same way about me as he once did but I'm falling for him again... I know I should just keep it as friends but I still do have feelings for him. Do I tell him how I feel and risk losing him as a friend or do I say nothing and hope the feelings go away...
Any advice welcome.....

Leave it don't get involved even as a friend because he's not a friend, you have feelings.
Or leave your husband and be free to see who you like.

Why are you still married?

You are cheating. Do the honourable thing and end your marriage.

He isn't your friend. He's someone you have a crush on. And someone who is looking to get his leg over.

Don't you feel any remorse for cheating on your partner all those years ago with this man? It's been 17 years and you still have no respect for your husband. That's what it boils down to.

Tbf, perhaps there were mitigating circumstances then...what I dont know...maybe he cheated too? Or you were very young? But..
does your 25 year marriage mean nothing to you? Because you're acting like it.

Either have the decency to stop fratenising with this guy or draw a line under your marriage and go do as you please. But know that you are viewing whatever this is with rose tinted glasses. Romantisising an old fling.

It boils down to moral fibre. You are as grown up now as you will ever be. So who do you want to be? A cheat? and an idiot? No? Then think carefully about your next moves.

You had an affair for 11 years?
