I’ve already posted on this. Please be gentle as I just need someone to talk to. I’m alone and have no family around because they are shielding. I have spoken to a doctor but I just want to know of others experiences.

I was treated for pelvic inflammatory disease as a precaution. They said they didn’t know if it was that as they can’t easily diagnose it. The swans that came back showed BV and id needed medical management for a miscarriage that didn’t pass properly so they said it could have moved up past the cervix.

I’ve asked about damage and all they say is that they don’t know for sure. I’ve been told it is less likely with BV but not a guarantee. I’m also worried as I’ve read PID can come back easily. I just don’t know what to do. My partner broke up with me soon after the miscarriage and so I probably wouldn’t know for a long time if I have problems. I feel sick and confused and sad.

Does anyone have any experience of this please?

Have you posted about this lots of times before? I am unsure if it is the same poster who had a scan last week and worried about the Fallopian tubes

My understanding
BV is sometimes difficult to treat and get rid of, so keep eye out for the symptoms but it is common.

They may have treated you for PID as a precaution. I don’t know. You may have not had it or had it and no one but your doctor can tell you. There are symptoms you can look out for here too

Generally the NHS are going to treat active/current conditions and it can be hard to get an answer about the future when it hasn’t happened yet - perhaps you need to go privately for a more comprehensive scan and investigations into your future fertility if this is worrying you. If you are symptom free currently it is probably difficult for anyone to give you a future prognosis or know what could or couldn’t happen
