After 20 years and 3 children he’s told me he”s leaving for OW he met 6 months ago. How do I deal with this I’m heartbroken.

He has known her 6 months and is ready to leave his marriage - I have heard this so many times, they will move in together and realise they have nothing in common and it won’t last and he’ll be begging for you back.
Just make sure when that time comes you tell him to Fuck off!

Don’t beg for him to stay or anything. Try not to show you care too much as the more you’re upset the more he wins. I know it’s easier said than done but you will look back on this one day and be glad you maintained your dignity (and it will also make him regret leaving you more).

I’m so sorry this has happened to you. I don’t know how you will break it to your DCs. You could even say he’s moved in with his parents to look after them or something just while you are dealing with so much all at once.

He should tell the DC. Why should you do his dirty work. Just be there after to support them.

You've had a lot of great advice in this thread and the one I would pick up the most is do not do the pick me dance, I was there with my wife and done the pick me pick me routine and all it has done is prolong this misery and in the end you will not win. Honestly you can't compete with what's going on in his head and the imbalance these types of relationship cause.

Now you may want him back thats up to you but in the meantime look after you and the kids and do whats right for all of you, he has (for the moment anyway) gone off and decided to end your marriage. It may well be that moving in together is a catalyst to this ending quickly when the reality of live sets in but you have to prepare yourself that they may live happily ever after (I know thats hard to hear. This is where I am right now). So sorry this is happening to you.
