What would you think.....

... if someone you've known via work (but never had much to do with at all) said when you told them you had a cold 'ah, well I won't kiss you today then'. ????

This happened to me recently! The person who said it has never been flirty with me, nor I with them. They are a nice person, but I haven't looked at them from a romantic point of view.

Confused!

Well it's hard to comment, as it depends what sort of a person he is and the tone he used.

If he is the office flirt, then he probably says it to everyone. Or maybe he was trying to break the ice?

What do you think?

Elizabetth · 28/09/2007 21:46

I'd think it was a bit inappropriate as I bet he wouldn't say something like that to a male colleague.

I'd feel uncomfortable. How did it make you feel?

coppertop · 28/09/2007 21:51

I'd think they were trying to make a joke.

ConnorTraceptive · 28/09/2007 21:52

Oh fgs take it as the off the cuff commenty joke it was meant. Why on earth would it make you feel uncomfortable?

WinkyWinkola · 28/09/2007 21:52

I wouldn't even notice it as even anything to think about! It's a light hearted joke. Surely.. . .. . don't spend another thought on it.

Horsemad · 28/09/2007 22:04

Well, he's not a 'flirty' type, just an ordinary nice person!

I just laughed and said ' yep, you'll catch the lurgy'!

There was no one in the office when the conversation took place.
Just seems a strange thing to say.
