I am neglecting mumsnet because of facebook . do you think it's just an infatuation? is it possible to have 2 relationships? or do I have to choose?

Oh, I'm obviously stuck. That's me and technology for you. I am faintly surprised I ever managed to get a job in which using a computer, on however basic a level, was required. Am I really? What do I have to do?

popsycal · 22/09/2007 20:32

I don't get facebook either

MyEye · 22/09/2007 20:34

look for me and ask me to be your friend

WideWebWitch · 22/09/2007 20:37

I panicked and deleted myself from FB because I though I HAVEN'T GOT TIME and it made me feel panicky and then I thought get a fking grip, you don't have to go on there.

Agree with sobernow

I loved it for a bit. It's fantastic if you have lots of overseas friends because it's so instant and you can see all their mates etc.

DrNortherner · 22/09/2007 20:39

I must admit, I joined FB a few moths back and at first I was obsessed. It didn't last though.

MN is like a piar of comfy slippers.

MyEye · 22/09/2007 20:40

I do think fb is fab for finding friends you've lost by accident (i've just hooked up with two since joining last week), which is why I haven't gone overboard with the privacy thing. If you're just using it for keeping up with your bezzies, I don't see the point, really. No better than email afaics, but more bells and whistles.

MyEye · 22/09/2007 20:43

also (obviously) I am a bit too old; not that many of my peers are doing it (I'm 37). Usefulness is limited for wrinklies.

hatwoman · 22/09/2007 22:32

i thought I was too old - but someone insisted I wasn't - I'm 37 too - but I feel so much more youthful for at least knowing what facebook is...my space here I come...
