Should I try to make things work with my ex again?

Me and my ex split not long after I found out I was pregnant because his mum had way too much of an input on the relationship. He put me through a lot of stress throughout my pregnancy and this is why I'm in two minds about it.

His mum has serious mental health issues and we really don't get on. She got way too involved in our relationship. Since having my baby my ex has stepped up as a dad and I have seen a change in him.

Does anyone have any positive stories about getting back with an ex?

In short, no. They're exes for a reason. I did type a load of stuff and then deleted it when I re read your post asking for positive stories. So sorry, none here. Hopefully you'll have some replies soon and good luck

Unless his mother has massively changed the issues will still be there sadly. X

Don't get back together with him. It almost never works out and results in two happy people.

If he put you through loads of stress why do you want to get back together with him? He has to be more than a good dad. I'd say give it time. I did get back with my ex but it ended and looking back I should never have gone back. Some people really don't change.

It depends how bad he was during your pregnancy? For the sake of the child, I'd say to give it a go, but if he put you through a lot when you're at your most vulnerable, that's something that could replay during your future times of need - does your child need to see that as acceptable behaviour? I don't think so.
