Tracking on phone - advice for friend

A friend of mine is in an odd relationship. He is very controlling and a couple of things are making him uncomfortable.

They are on a trial separation at the moment - but he still has access to her calendar and is admin on a few of her group WhatsApp chats.

The WhatsApp she can just shift groups but we need to work out how to remove him from her calendar.

Also, I conscious that he has been responsible for all tech things so he may have location settings on her phone.

How would she check. It's an Android I think.

Bumping for you

Did you mess up the pronouns in the first para? Should that be "a couple of things are making her uncomfortable"?

Presumably it's Google Calendar if it's an Android? In which case she needs to log into her Gmail account then follow the instructions here:
support.google.com/calendar/thread/1172895?hl=en

Once she's done that, I'd suggest she backs up any images, videos etc she wants to keep, then restore the phone to factory settings to get rid of any keyloggers or spyware.

In addition to what Vexation has said, she should also change all passwords to Facebook, instagram, social media, banking, email, PayPal etc.

Yes I mixed up my pronouns. I meant to write 'about him'

That's really helpful thank you. I didn't think of restoring the phone.

When/if she changes all her passwords, I really recommend using Google Vault and Google password generator. The generator comes up with really random, secure passwords that even I don't know/remember because they are just a long random mix of numbers, letters etc. Then you store these in the Google Vault password store, so you don't forget them, because they are so random! So basically her passwords will be super duper secure
