Am I making the right decision?

Me and OH separated 2 weeks ago.
It was a mutual decision and this was due to his moodiness which caused a big atmosphere in the house, lack of affection and paranoia. He thought he couldn't change.
Now he is moving out tonight and I am sitting here in a massive panic. The past 2 weeks we have spoken more than we probably have in months. He's been loving towards me and really doesn't want this to happen now.
I am worried I am making the biggest mistake of my life and he really can change.

He smartened up once he thought he was going to lose you, didn't he? When he wasn't worried about that, he couldn't be bothered to change.

A life with atmosphere, lack of affection and paranoia sounds really difficult. I'm not sure two weeks of being nice would make up for that, really. What makes him think he can change now?

It's very easy for him to ramp up the affection when you've seperated isn't it. It's how he was when he was IN the relationship you need to be concerning yourself with and I think you were right to seperate. Moodiness, paranoia and lack of affection sounds like hard work - do you know where that all stemmed from? have you had couples counselling?

Or Maybe you just weren't a right fit for each other and time to move on to find someone who will make you happy. Sorry OP

I guarantee he wouldn’t keep up this sudden effort if you stayed together. I’d give it a couple of months max.

I'd let him continue to move out. Perhaps once he's reflected on the error of his ways he may see sense.
