Yet another weirdo...

Last christmas I got talking to someone on an online dating app, we went on one date which was nice enough but shortly after a good friend of mine came back to the area and he and I ended up in a relationship.

The online date stayed in touch very occasionally until I ended up removing him from my snapchat as it felt inappropriate.

Last night I updated my snapchat story but had made it public rather than private (so friends of the other people tagged could see it).

The online date has watched my story and screenshotted pictures of me. Snapchat notifies you when someone screenshot.

Obviously I am just going to block him, it's no massive deal I am just wondering why people are so weird. Why would you want to save a picture of someone you went in one date with a year ago.

For the record I am perfectly average looking and whilst I like to think I have a sparkling personality, I am under no illusion that I amazed him that much.

He is in the police too so you would think he would not be a weirdo.

It does seem a tad "stalky". Maybe he doesn't realise that snapchat notifies when a screenshot is taken?

I am guessing he doesn't realise.it would be too embarrassing otherwise.

I just think it is creepy that, he has now saved two pictures of me when we have only ever met once.

I thought Snapchat was just for teens! About him being in the police though, I've known a few odd cops over the years!

Where did you get the idea that a policeman would be less likely to be weird??

www.theguardian.com/society/2019/oct/20/domestic-abuse-within-police-force-to-be-investigated

I've read statistics outside of the uk that place policeman at something like 10x more likely to batter their partners than non police... might be good to wise up there op

Wow now I feel really naieve! I just thought cop = good guy.

I know loads of people who use snapchat.

The worst stories i know regarding domestic abuse and being general 'weirdos' are by police.

A friend of a friend (Who i know and have met tens of times over the years) was dating a police officer for 4 years on and off. In that time, he moved in with another women (Dont ask! He explained it away as extra night shifts), emotionally abused her, and she caught him cheating on her 3 or 4 times besides the woman he moved in with. A 'good looking' 'respectable' police officer who was forced to resign for trying to sleep with a rape victim eventually (Whilst he was still with friend of friend). He joined another force and carried on. Unreal.
I personally wouldnt touch a police officer, that is just 1 story, ive many more of similar weirdness to people i know.

I think the weird bit is adults having snapchat myself but if you've got it, screenshotting an image doesn't seem that weird, it's all about the visuals surely?

Police is packed with wierdos and sadists.
