First things first, both (pretty sure) single and available but not had that talk but I'm 99% sure. I will back off if it transpires that he is married or LTR as ExH did the dirty on me and it's shit.

DD's in same class and friends.

Talk most mornings at drop offs and I have a huge crush. It's just fun at the moment, it's nice to have a bit of a fantasy and someone to get a bit dressed up for.

Could be awkward if things went wrong, but been out of the game for a while so, how do you know if he fancies you or he's just being nice? Started with coy smiles and now full conversations with lots of laughing?

I really don't want to make any moves as if it isn't reciprocal then I will have to move countries Blush

Sounds promising. Ask him for a drink!

Ask if he has plans over Christmas. Invite him over for a playdate if he is at a loose end. Or if you are both child-free, suggest a pub lunch?

You don't think it could get messy/awkward if it doesn't work out? I guess we are both adults and can deal with a bit of awkward conversation if it turns out there's no spark or such?

Just see if he fancies a coffee while the kids play and go from there.

You can be cautious, and the children wouldn't need to know anything until/if it became serious.
Hopefully you then if it fizzled out you would both be mature enough to move on quietly.
