Relationship Counselling

Can anyone suggest where I can access relationship counselling for just myself?

For quite some time now I have been pretty unhappy and feeling unfulfilled in my relationship but don't really have any close relationships with my girlfriends anymore where I can talk things through. A lot has gone on between me and my OH in the past couple of years that I've never really had the opportunity to talk over with anyone.

I want to know whether or not I should end things, or if there's something we/I should be doing to get things back on track.

I've made a couple of other important changes in my life recently and doubting myself, thinking I'm maybe wanting to change too many things at once, if that makes sense?

Any ideas? I have looked at Relate and even for online chat sessions it's £40 for 45 minutes so not really an option right now.

Thank you in advance.

Check with your workplace whether they offer an employee assistance programme (EAP). Many companies do these days and part of their service is to offer counselling. Often it is over the phone but it can be face to face too depending on what the company have paid for

Thanks Fairycake2, I will look into that.

Yep Relate is quite expensive. There's also a place near me called Marriage Care, and rather than a set price I think you just 'donate' what you can afford. I'm not sure where you're based but I think they do have a few places in different locations.

As Fairycake says above, some employers can help you access counselling so check that. You can also get counselling on the NHS, it's normally a self referral through IAPT but it can be a long wait (I've just started, I waited 5 months). Good luck
