Hi I didnt know where to post this but need fashion advice.
I am 4'11, boyfriend is 5'10,
I always wear some form of heel because it makes me feel more confident feeling taller.
Anyway, were going for a walk after and then bowling which means i have to get the flats out.
I'm thinking of wearing white pumps with skinny jeans, but I feel so insecure with flats. I feel like a child when im actually 24. But i cant go for a walk in heels, not even kitten ones.

Any other short girls out there got encouraging words for a short girl who hates flats?

Also my advice is (DP a foot taller) wear wellies u can get some like joules or hunters that actually make u an inch or so taller! While still passing as flats. If u get them in a colour that matches what u usually wear on leg I.e blue if u wear blue skinnies, it elongates the leg. In rubbish weather it’s a practical solution plus so easy to get on and off and comfortable too

I’m 4ft 11 and my boyfriend is 6ft 4. I wear flats a lot of the time can’t say it’s ever been a problem.

Sandals19 · 27/11/2019 22:43

Wedges, flatforms?

Not much you can do about bowling part.

MummaofFurGirls · 27/11/2019 23:02

I wear what ever is comfy, I am 5' 01 and my DH is 6' 7, don't stress about the height difference. You will look great together in whatever you are wearing

I’m 5’2, my partner is 6’3. It’s a non issue. I only ever wear flats.

Pearlbarleynecklace · 01/12/2019 11:08

Theres no shortage of short men. I do find big hieght difference odd between couples but i know many short women insisting on very tall men and many tall women lovibg extra petite ( 'spinner' expression used freqiently - boak! ).. but the issue is that YOU feel uncomfortable.. i would just end it and make a conscious effort to choose short guys.

Pearlbarleynecklace · 01/12/2019 11:09

and many tall men loving extra petite

BooFuckingHoo2 · 01/12/2019 11:25

What an odd thread. I’m 5’2 and I’ve dated lots of tall men, up to 6’5 and nobody has ever said we looked odd Confused.

If it bothers you that much then get a shorter boyfriend or is this a stealth boast?

Menora · 01/12/2019 11:32

Platform trainers?

MaidenMotherCrone · 01/12/2019 11:40

Leg extensions or ask him to crouch a bit whilst walking.

loserssaywhat · 01/12/2019 12:31

Really? I'm 5'1 and my husband is 6'4 ..literally nobody cares.

Mollie3 · 04/12/2019 19:45

@MaidenMotherCrone 😂

category12 · 04/12/2019 20:06

Try these.

Feel so short next to boyfriend.
MaryPopppins · 04/12/2019 20:11

Not seeing the problem.

I'm 5'4" and husband is 6'4"

I love that he's tall. Never been a negative for us.

TacoLover · 04/12/2019 20:15

Platform trainers.

lifeisgoodagain · 06/12/2019 16:03

Just bought my first heels in years because my new man is over 6ft (ex was an inch taller than me) but it really doesn't matter, comfort and support matter when walking, my hiking boots are pretty chunky soled though

DivaRainbow · 06/12/2019 16:13

Im same height as you OP and DH is 6ft, Has never been a problem with us. I love it actually, I can wear my heels and hes still taller

RatherBeRiding · 06/12/2019 16:32

Another who doesn't see a problem - my DP is a full foot taller than me. I wear what i feel comfortable wearing when we're out (which is either flats or very low heels). I don't care, he doesn't care - what on earth is there to care about? Confused

Jocasta2018 · 06/12/2019 16:55

I'm 5ft & don't really see myself as short! Obviously in photos with friends I'm a lot shorter than them but it never crosses my mind when Im with them - and some of the women are over 5ft 10.
I've dated tall men but do prefer shorter men - logistically certain positions in sex are an easier fit when our heights are closer ;)
The problem I do have is very small hands. I find it physically uncomfortable to hold hands with a man - doesn't matter whether they've big hands or not - it still is a big stretch! So it's linking little fingers for me at age 47....

emzey · 06/12/2019 17:02

Its obvious isn't it? Get a shorter boyfriend!
I think its lovely to have a taller husband, I'd like mine to be taller. I'm 5,6 has 5,9ish, but I always wear 4 plus inch heels so I am taller when we go out of the house. I like the powerGrin

Mollie3 · 06/12/2019 18:09

I think the older you get the less you care about height difference
When much younger I would not want a man too short or tall ‘for me’ Confused
