Hi

Can anyone offer some advice please? I'm asking for a friend.

A friend of mine has been married for 15 years, they have a 9 year old son together. There is no love in the marriage, they haven't been intimate for 6 years and do nothing together as a family. She regrets marrying him and admits she only did it because she wanted a baby.

My friend has always suspected that she may like women. She has messed around a little in the past but nothing more than a drunken snog! Anyway, she has recently got very close to another female friend of ours that has never had feelings towards a woman and they have started a relationship. They've always had an amazing connection but they say somethings just clicked and they are so so happy when they are together.

Only problem is that she is in this marriage. Should they both come clean and pursue the happiness or should they just ignore it until her son is older and won't be so hurt.

She's really confused and I don't know what to say to her. I've honestly never seen either of them so happy but she's still married and to everyone else she's heterosexual!!

Thanks

I don't think there is much you can to say her.
She is having an affair.
She doesn't love her husband.
He's done what he was 'employed' to do.
She needs to tell him.
It doesn't matter what sex her affair partner is, she is cheating on her DH.
No-one deserves that.
She needs to end her marriage.
Get her headspace sorted out and then see what happens.
But her poor DH needs to know that he is with a liar and a cheat.
The sooner the better.
He can then move on and may find love with someone new.
She should not be denying him that with the fake marriage.
