We have been together 7 half years, our sex life was always great got together ( usually same for everyone) my boyfriend has a lower drive than me and I always intiate we do it about 1 or 2 monthish and I often am left waiting until he wants to do it but it's not the end of the world for me, but this past year I have struggled to orgasm with him like I used to, when we do have sex now I find it kind of awkward and not sure he knows how to turn me on anymore and kind of don't know what I want him to do to get me in the mood anymore?? I don't know I feel i have just lost that surge of hornyness ?? Is this normal I still love him and want spend time with him and still want sex just when we do do it I overthink it all and can't get aroused .
The need want is still there I just feel like we have both lost what the other needs to be turned on??
Do we need to spice it up ?? Has anyone else gone through this? He has suggested we spice it up . I got him to use my rabbit on my aswell but again it's all in my head and I can't seem to relax??
Please help X

Doing nothing is not an option in this scenario. Spell it out to him how unhappy your boring sex life is making you.

and I always intiate
This is the problem OP.
If he never initiates then you don't feel wanted or desirable.
It messes with your self-esteem and self-worth.
Why does he never initiate?
You've basically given up.
You are fed up of it being down to you all the time.
The rejection from him over the years has taken it's toll.

Now you can work on it with him if you really want to.
That means he has to be totally on board.
I would really look into sex therapy for the both of you.
Your confidence and self-esteem cannot keep taking these knocks.
