Hospital dilemma

I need to get clothes to someone who was admitted to hospital this evening in London. Anyone know who delivers next day( men's clothing). I checked h & m but they only deliver to residential addresses.

For example, my mum was moved from one ward to another without the bag she came in with, which was never seen again. My dad was discharged home without the clothes he’d been admitted in, which were never seen again.

I’m not blaming the staff for this. They simply do not have the time to go looking for patients’ clothes.

Process a delivery ?? Sign a scribble and stick it on the meal trolley / over to auxiliary staff to be passed on you mean ??

I'd say next is your best bet. I've also heard good things about Uber / deliveroo, they'd probably even bring to the bedside. .......I've spent a fair bit of time in hospitals over the years and deliveries are pretty common. Not forgetting the fact that some people pretty much live there for months at a time. And not everyone has the luxury of family and friends to get treats and extras to them.

There's an app where you can pay for a courier type to go to shop and purchase said items then deliver if that would be any use?

A few years back Amazon did do a hospital delivery to a known ward. A relative was in for a month and the pile of books was a welcome distraction. I also sent chocolate to the ward staff

Should have said - I was in a different country and it meant a lot to me that I could do this

@HeddaGarbled Hospitals have a specific mail department just like an office etc. The staff deliver the mail to the hospital departments/wards. How do you think consultants etc receive mail?

I’m sure I remember someone on Mumsnet having a similar issue (at another hospital) and they contacted the chaplaincy team who assisted. If you google Lewisham chaplaincy team you’ll get their number.

Why are people saying that deliveries can't be accepted? Every day cards, flowers, chocolates, fruit baskets are delivered to patients, as long as the full name, ward, etc is included. I once posted a toy to a child and it was received the next day.
