Been divorced 4 years we share two children. It was a marriage where I was controlled in every aspect possible. I met someone else and left and remarried very happy he’s with someone else and have child together.

He refuses to communicate with me and only does it via email which are usually essays and very dictating and demanding. The only thing we communicate on is drop of and pick up regarding the DC he refuses to get involved in anything else relating to the children. Never been to schools to see teachers or any of their activities

Basically what has happened is he has messed up big time he’s due to have DCs for his 2 weeks summer holiday starting tomorrow arranged when I’m dropping off and picking up though he has now changed the goal posts I’ve tried standing up and not backing down to him but he just got abusive in his emails and dictating what time to pick up and drop off. Do I just give in and go with his time or do I stick to the time we normally do. He never said a time when he told me what dates he wanted children so I assumed we would do normal drop of and pick up time. He giving a stupid pickup time of 5am in the morning and 5am to collect in two weeks time. I will do this as I will do anything for my kids but they don’t want this stupid times.

Just do it- he only wants a rise out of you! If you think the children benefit from contact maybe this is one of the times to just bite your tongue and go along with it. They say the beat revenge is living well, he’s obviously a deeply bitter and unhappy person, let him be while you live your happy life!

So that means you have to wake your children at 4:00 or 4:30 am, get them dressed, etc.? Why so early? Are they travelling on holiday that day?

peonyfairy03 · 09/08/2019 21:28

Yes they are hence why they were going to his the night before however when they return they would have been on holiday. I think it just him trying to control me and cause disruption to me. I’ve agreed his timings now he wants to change again.

Personally, I'd drop them off at the requested time but tell him you'll pick them up at xx time (convenient to you) or he can drop them off if it needs to be that early
