My mother and father in law don't speak to me anymore branding me a drama queen as I turned up at their house in sheer desperation after a argument with their son ended with him slapping me on the arm very hard and marking my arm badly .we have managed to sort things out with my other half having councilling and been told if this happens again I will leave and we ate quite happy 6 months on.Im very upset they feel this way and I just wanted help at the time they basically told me to leave him if I felt that way and they didn't want my shit on their doorstep (I have been before )I don't know where I go from here partner told them I'm upset and why didn't they help me even looking back he knows I needed support but they basically kicked me out their house do I forget and move on or stick to my guns I'm hurt they reacted that way

The problem here is your partner. Their support of him is worrying certainly, and indicates they, and he have a tolerance of domestic abuse/ violence. But he hit you.

I hope you have sought support from WA and have done/ are doing the Freedom Programme.

Alternatively of course they have no tolerance and gave you the best advice possible. Leave him.

I can sympathise with them.

You turn up at theirs and bring them into problems between you and their son, then you and their son sort it out and get back together.

They are telling you to leave him. But you arent. You are just repeating this cycle. But expecting them to get involved.

Your problem is your partner the relationship.

They can't get involved if you have a problem with their DS. Why can't you go to your own DPS?
