Online dating are they all dickheads??

So I met a man online been talking for a couple of months met up a few times but he disappears for a few days at a time no messages doesn’t answer calls. So I was supposed to be going to see him yesterday messaged him in the morning asking what time he wanted to meet (no firm time) read message no answer. So I left it a while and messaged again read and no answer again can see him going online but not replying so I try to call him no answer. Now only on Friday he was saying how it’s only me he want to be with ect ect now total radio silence I can see him online but nothing. I have messaged today basically telling him where to go but my god is it so hard to just say sorry not what I want anymore ?

Sometimes they simply change their mind and are too cowardly to say. It’s easier to disappear.

I went out with someone recently for a coffee and we texted a few times afterwards but I wasn’t sure about him. I faded away over a few days which I felt bad about but he didn’t ask outright to see me again so I figured he probably felt the same.

I know 2 people who met their husbands on OLD. It's just the same as real life. You have to wade through the arseholes to find the nice normal men.

Yes, people on OLD aren't another species....

The 'best' part is when they drop out of communication and then contact you later with one of their 'initial sweep' mails, clearly not realising they've been in contact with you before .

I'm on 4 different OLD apps and have been so for around 6 months. Having been out of the dating loop for nearly 22 years it's just amazing the crap men will do/think we will put up with!!

• I had one guy, who is now my FWB because he doesn't know what he wants. One day he wants a relationship, the next day he doesn't. He's a terrible communicator too, but a woman has needs to the arrangement works for me when I need an itch scratched.

• I was dating another slightly younger guy who had been the perfect gentleman for the 7 dates we went on. I messaged him one day to say I was getting too busy for dating and wished him well. No response from him at all, showing his true colours imo, not even a reply along the lines of "I understand/thanks for telling me etc".

• Talking to a guy for a month but we live a couple of hours apart so haven't met yet as my ex has kids sporadically. We were going to arrange to meet up for a date next time I'm child-free. Lovey dovey, nice messages, he seemed normal. I whatsapped him last Tuesday saying hoped he had a good day, not a peep from him until yesterday - and I know he's been around because I have seen him active on the dating app we met on! Haven't responded to his last 2 messages, thinks he can just pick up where he left off!!

I feel like I'm definitely going to be single for the rest of my life but some days after speaking to this bunch of twats on OLD, I'm quite looking forward to just my own company!
