I have been in a relationship for 20 years. We got married 2 years ago after 18 years. We have 3 children. We have been having some financial problems which we are dealing with. But in the last 8 months my hubby has changed. We hardly have a conversation together. I'm unable to talk to him as he snaps at me every time we are together. I can't seem to get anything right.
Today we went to parade, after we went into pub for a drink me lemonade and some traditional music. After an hour my hubby was at the bar and talking to others. I taped his shoulder and said I would be back when I drop my daughter to her part time job. Again an hour later he rang giving out hell to me for going and not telling him when I was coming back. I tried to tell him I did but he kept shouting at me and then hung up phone. He came home 20 minutes later and roared at me again then went to bed at 6 this evening. I'm at my wit's end. Don't know how much more I can take.

It's all changed in the last eight months.. did anything new happen then for you or him?

My husband changed jobs. Said it was a good job but now he is fed up with it and is changing again.

In the morning tell him you want an apology... you tapped him on the shoulder and told him what you were doing, tell him you do not appreciate being spoken to like that , and that if he genuinely does not remember he needs to go to the doctor encase he has a concussion, early on set dementia or a severe case of arseholeitus ...

But calmly without easing your voice ( perhaps not the last suggested Illness if you want to take the higher ground )

He will know you had this conversation he was there he is just being a complete arse.

Once you have apology perhaps go into what is going on with him, he has changed , is there anything you can do to help? , but don’t let him treat you like a door mat x x

Keep a good grip on your financial situation, OP. God help you if he's spending more than he's letting on or gambling to resolve the problem.

It's a few times this week that something like this has happened. I now dread when he rings my phone as I don't know what reception I'm going to get.
