Nephews and Nieces

I have split with my husband due to his cheating. There is no way I am putting up with that shit. We have young nephews and nieces on both sides. I always did the card/present buying, and since we split I refuse to do it for his side. Let him do something for a change. Views?

I'd leave his 'side' of family to him. Just make sure you tell him in advance and I'd write out a list of his sides family Birthdays then leave it at that.

Depends if you want to maintain a relationship with them (If you have DC who you'd like to have a good relationship with their cousins for example?) In which case just sign off cards/presents from just you (+DC). If you're not interested in continuing a relationship, sack it off and leave it to him. You certainly shouldn't do it on his behalf!

I haven't split with my husband but decided to leave him to do his enormous family. I did warn them and have stuck to it!

I don’t understand the OP.
It makes no sense

Thatnovembernight · 14/03/2019 18:08

I agree with MinorChef re cousins!

chillpizza · 14/03/2019 18:14

Not your job anymore surely unless you have children who want to give gifts to cousins.

Order654 · 14/03/2019 19:22

His family = his problem.

Grumpelstilskin · 14/03/2019 20:52

@BlueMerchant Why the hell should OP write out the birthdays for his family?!

Awrite · 14/03/2019 20:56

The only thing you should regret is not doing it sooner.

Or rather, taking on this responsibility in the first place.

DarklyDreamingDexter · 15/03/2019 08:58

Yep, his family, his responsibility. When I split up with my Ex, my Christmas card list and present buying duties were cut down by about three quarters. (bigger family on his side). Result!
