How is your Valentines evening going?

We put the baby to bed, DH got a nice meal in. Lit a candle, had a laugh. So far so good. But then the football went on...and he is now snoring on the other sofa! Think I might just go to bed myself. Hmm Anyone else?

Kids asleep, our favourite home cooked meal (team effort) ate on the sofa watching pretty woman and having a cuddle. Oh and he just loaded the dish washer and made me a cuppa. Wedded bliss Grin

Boeuf bourguignon from M&S. Not good. A ready meal is a ready meal wherever you buy it.

Another one who watched dirty dancing whilst waiting for DP to come home from work. I've had my dinner but the oven's been ready for his for about half an hour. Hoping he brings home something nice to drink!

We missed our train home so went for an oh so romantic Burger King with the husband as we waited for the next one!

I'm now flopped out on the couch, watching crap TV and husband is doing repairs to my laptop.

Only just realised as well, it's 5 years today since we started dating. We've been married for over 2 years and I'm pregnant with our first!

MissLanesAmericanCousin · 14/02/2019 23:24

Still early yet. Getting ready for dinner and to exchange gifts, then home for a movie and a more than a cuddle. Wink

Got daffodils and perfume this morning. We had parents evening tonight. All lovely comments, really impressed with DSs teacher who I hadn't spoken to before. Then home for tea and chocolates for pudding. Then watched Outnumbered with DD1. Not tremendously romantic admittedly.

Brilliant! Am in bed with my kitty cat snuggled up next to me :-)

cropcirclesinthefields · 14/02/2019 23:34

H is working so I've had an evening at our gaming thing and now home winding down with the pooch.

billydilly · 14/02/2019 23:37

Dh has drunk himself insensible and I'm watching Aliens. It's more romantic than it sounds.

Mrsmummy90 · 14/02/2019 23:38

He had a hard day at work, I had a tiring day with the baby.
He came home, I cooked him a really nice meal, we put the baby to bed and then she refused to sleep for hours so we ended up grumpy and tired.

pissedonatrain · 14/02/2019 23:46

It was just another day for me. I still have an estranged husband at this point but no Valentine. Maybe next year.

My all time favourite Valentine's Day was with my first DH RIP. He surprised me with a beautiful singing canary.

TwoBucksPizzaSlices · 15/02/2019 08:16

We don't usually 'celebrate' Valentine's Day, but I had some extra cash floating around last month so bought DH a concert ticket as a gift for valentines.
I then woke up yesterday morning to a single stem white rose on my pillow (my favourite flower) and a box of my favourite chocolates.

DH came home from work, we waited until DC were in bed to have our dinner, he then lit candles in the lounge, turned out the lights, brought a duvet in and we snuggled up to 500 Days Of Summer!

It was a simple yet nice evening given we have very little time for each other these days with two young DC's.

WaterOffaDucksCrack · 15/02/2019 18:53

Never really "celebrate" it because its my (now 4yo) son's birthday 😊

My partner always gets me beautiful flowers and a card in which he always writes something that brings a tear to my eye. This year he also decorated the house for Valentine's day! I got him his favourite beers, a big bar of his favourite chocolate and a box of his favourite sweets.

However I've been very ill with tonsillitis, a very high temp and low BP (plus nearly 12 weeks pregnant). So couldn't even manage to have sex with my partner last night (we usually do every day).

Mine went okay, made dinner, got the kids to bed, watched a film whilst eating chocolate, quick shag then went to sleep. Oh the romance...you can tell we’ve been together 13 years 😁
