what if my husband is bi-curious

My husband and I engaged in group sex during which I acted out a
bi-curious fantasy with another woman.
My partner didn't mind, he was ok with me living out my fantasy and he was there with me but didn't interact with the other woman.

Having talked about it later, he challenged my opinion on if the situation would be reverse, meaning if he would be sexual with another man.
Why do I have an issue with the idea of him being sexually active with a man when this would be exactly the same as what I did with another woman?

Does it all stem from what society has made us think, that idea that two women exploring is a widely shared fantasy whilst two men exploring would be different.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Is my thinking overly conservative or is my rooted in a fear that he would like it and afterwards become bi-sexual

Yes, I think so.

Logically of course there should be far less fear for a woman regarding her male partner "going gay", since society has historically persecuted gay men far more than gay women. Men in theory should far more fear losing their female partner to another woman since she would face far less public shaming, loss of friendships, etc.

Perhaps it's simply that men receive the message "You are enough" whilst women are taught "You are not enough and must be alert to any person who he will probably prefer to you."

I'm not sure I would accuse you of being overly-conservative, but yes, I imagine there is something in what you say about society.

I think your thoughts are right OP. Lesbian porn is totally a thing whereas male on male porn is not (unless on gay websites). 99.9% of men would get off on watching 2 women together but in their head, they would then come into the situation, shag both women and "cure" them. Also - my opinion only - women's bodies are much nicer than mens!

I feel turned off thinking about how gay men have sex, I’m not homophobic by any means but if my man was bi then he wouldn’t be my man for long, or in the first place if he told me right away.

You had sex with other women, or a woman in front of your man so it’s only fair that he can do the same! I would’ve thought that by engaging in group sex then you’d be open minded to almost anything sexually, I may well be just stereotyping you though!

I’m not sure if it’s society that has brought your thoughts to where they are now, wouldn’t you have not engaged in group sex if it was society that spoon fed you your thoughts? My thoughts are nothing to do with society and everything to do with my own thoughts.

Your man has a point op, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, or some saying like this!
