Devastated about photos I’ve found- am I over reacting?

I have been relaxing, looking through photos from our summer holiday on an iPad. Our phones and iPads sync together and so sometimes photos taken on one device will end up sometimes shared.
I’m flicking through photos where husband has taken some of me, the kids, the views...then there’s one of a very attractive, thin woman in a bikini with her son. Then more of me the kids etc. But then more of her, her bent over making sand castles with her young son, her walking to sea, her finally leaving.. about 12 in total, mixed in between about 45 of us. I’ve never noticed before bit now I have. It’s completely floored me. Am I overreacting? I’m so upset. I could never have seen my husband doing this sort of thing. What would you do? Btw I’m mega overweight atm and that’s the real gutting thing, it’s almost like some of the photos are a comparison.

It's pervy behaviour to me. Looking is ok...but taking a pic would have me think it's wank material.

Looking at something that crosses your eye is completely different thing to taking pictures of an unsuspecting stranger...What you're describing here is disrespectful, grim and creepy.

This is just a step away from men perving at women.

Yes, taking secret photos of a woman bending over in a bikini without her consent is no big deal, boys will be boys eh?

Christ, some women have such a low bar for men don’t they?

Mum4Fergus · 06/01/2019 01:13

Can you be sure it was the Mum and not the son in the pictures he was interested in? Either way, you need him gone from your life.

Qubus · 06/01/2019 14:09

OP have you confronted him?

Loka123 · 06/01/2019 14:41

Very odd.. as a one-off incident, it might be ok e.g. if he was drunk but I do wonder if this means he's done similar or worse in the past and this was the only time you were able to discover it by chance....

This is the sort of thing my ex would have done and laughed about.
I would then have laughed and called him a perv.

Oh well, at least he is an ex now. I do hope any subsequent partners are of a slightly higher standard.

Could one have the kids have taken them? My youngest takes the most random photos sometimes. Have you reason to suspect he might do something like this?

Straycatblue · 06/01/2019 23:24

I had an ex who did this, there are lots of websites, forums, etc dedicated to voyeurism and upskirt photos where he would upload his secret photos taken on days out with his long camera lens focused on womens chests and buttocks.

He never used to let me see any of his photos from days out without going through them first, I know now that it was so that he could hide the dodgy ones and put them in a secret folder.

He would also save photos from facebook that friends and mutual friends had innocently uploaded of themselves on days out in swimsuits, bikinis or even just in low cut tops or short skirts or tight clothes at party nights and have them all in his wank bank folder to use for himself and also to upload to those sites for others to use.

I'm not condoning your husbands behavior but all men look at other women, they are lying if they say they don't. This is just a step away from men perving at women.
