Partner wouldn't get up on Xmas morning?

How would you feel if your partner said he was too tired to get up Xmas morning?

Our 3.5 year old woke up at 6:40am so excited to open her presents! My partner said he was too tired to get up and when I said he'll miss seeing her open them and what she's got... he said oh well he'll see them when they're open?

I'm still fuming about it!

To make it worse I only stayed in the relationship so that he could have this experience with her! I'm planning to leave.....

No advice but I had the same with my DH. It was awful!

I'm planning to leave.....

I think there's an issue when you make noble decisions and the other person doesn't behave how you would like them to. Just leave. Then none of this will be your problem any more.

What time did he get up?

gretad · 27/12/2018 20:34

That would honestly be breaking point in a relationship for me! Very selfish! I'd be fuming.

He came down just as she had finished. He then fell back to sleep on the sofa whilst I struggled to put toys together!

Would this honestly be the breaking point for some people?

I've just been made redundant from work and it's his house! I do have my mums to go to as a stop gap - what would you all do?!!! xx
