I asked my husband to make sure he and dd called mil to say thanks for advents presents. Reminded him at 9am. He got pissed off, cause he also made dinner. I refuse to take blame. We had a row. He left. As he did not agree to drive to my parents for chrismas Tomorrow, so i should. He is in holiday home. Im Home with 2 kids. Fuming. Usually he is good, but i asked him this. And he is pissed of for forgetting and hate calling his mom. As do i. Now he left. I get a taxi Tomorrow. 100km. Each way. Fuck.

OK there's a few things going on.

You don't have to facilitate his relationship with his mother so don't. He either thanks her or she doesn't get thanked.

Why did he get pissed off that he made dinner?

I wouldn't pay for a cab 200km. Not in a million. Parents drive? Public transport? Call him and talk?

She is my daughter. Mil gave her advent presents. Nice Ones. I asked him this morning to make sure dd called and thanked. He agreed. At 9, reminding him, he got pissed of cause he didnt had time and wjat did i do all day. I think it did not matter, as he agreed on the task. He had tje hump. Now he left. I have drinks. He can stay in holiday home!! Fed up doing wife work. Yes i am sahm but he can call his mum!!

Is this really about a missed phone call? I get the sense there’s a bigger issue here.

Think you need to behave like the adults you both are....

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/12/2018 22:33

When you say he’s usually “good” do you mean he usually does what you tell him to straight away but this time he didn’t? It’s his mum. He hates calling her. It wasn’t urgent, it’s only the 23rd. Not sure why you’ve had an argument about it tbh.

TomorrowsPrincess · 23/12/2018 22:55

You reminded him at 9am? So you had asked him more than once prior to 9am??
Sounds a little 'naggy'.... give the man chance to eat his breakfast! Surely he had all day.... another 12 hours at least to call his mum? Why the urgency to do it so early?
