Feeling too gross to date someone seriously

I know this seems silly but I avoid getting too close to potential partners (e.g. not staying the whole night etc.) due to some not so nice conditions e.g. I get IBS-D (I'm sure you know the symptoms of that), bloating/flatulence, aswell as other stuff that crops up occasionally such as BV, dry mouth after about 9 hours no matter how much water I drink (which can lead to halitosis), body odour and breathing difficulties at night (due to allergies) which might lead to loud breathing/snoring.

Due to this, I'd hate to spend anything longer than 10-12 hrs per date with a guy as can just about keep all these things at bay for that time period but would be harder if staying overnight etc.

I've tried solving all these issues but a permanent fix does not exist for any of them. I just feel so gross, esp as a female, that it is hindering dating more seriously. I feel very clean and fresh in the mornings after a shower but all downhill by the late afternoon.

Hi there.

I decided to post to give you some hope.

I have terrible IBS. Gets so bad sometimes.

I got it after being 3 years with my partner. Was he put off? Grossed out? Dump me?

We are still here 12 years later. Gets me hot water bottle, pain killers. My sofa blanket when I need to lie down. And how is this for a passion killer? Goes to shop and gets me instant immodium. Blush

All this and he still loves me. Never says ugh if I'm going to toilet a lot. Asks me if in pain and what can he do. Promise that there are men out there who will love you regardless. Have faith. Flowers

And for everyone say lay off brocolli and brussel sprouts. They don't hurt me at all. It's spicy and oily foods for me. And mayonaise wah!

@trojanpony thanks :)
@Pearlsandgems - thank you for your kind words also - yeah they do say oily (i.e. high fat foods) do play havoc with digestion in a lot of people.
