Posted before about my husband and finding messages, and it's been deleted! Why?!

One of the messages showed her first name, but also her second initial was evident too. Maybe that's why

That shouldnt warrant the entire thread coming down though. At most maybe just that post but really how identifying is a first name

I saw the thread and honestly didn’t think you should have shared the screenshots.

I don't know, but it was not your usual spelling of the name, plus her surname initial, and she mentioned a country she had recently returned from. Easily identifiable if you knew her.

It is true that the screen shots would have been incredibly identifying, and we know how these things end up in the gutter press.

Your thread was actually hidden last night by one of our moderation team who was concerned that your privacy might be compromised by the screenshots. We're reinstated it now - it's your call, but we can remove the images if you're worried about being outed.

They shouldn't have been posted identifying the other parties. Their names should have been taken out. imo.

She should not have shared the screenshots because they aren't hers to share and in order for her to get them she was in someone else's phone.

Does she have the permission of the parties involved to share those screenshots?

She wasn't in someone else's phone - they were on the family iPad.

I disagree, I am sympathetic to the OP but I don't think she should be revealing someone else's identity on here.

In a time where practically every thread on aibu and relationships is a troll and is pulled anyway it’s easy to see why someone would post screenshots in order to verify that they’re legit. Afaik nightwatch don’t have the capacity to edit posts and as such the thread had to be hidden for that reason.

Anyway what’s done is done and getting too het up about it achieves nothing.
