I just read the Lundy book after reading about it here and it was really good. I thought it would also be useful to compile a list one-stop-shop of the best books/websites we often refer to here to help us.

So I’ll start with Lundy Bancroft’s Why Does He Do That to help understand abusive men.

I’m also a big fan of Amir Levine ‘Attached’ to help understand why we can’t stop being needy sometimes (or run away from intimacy)

I recomment Emotional Blackmail by Susan Forward for any relationship where someone is trying to get their own way by making you feel bad eg dps spouses or even teens. Worth reading for everyone really.

Homecoming by John Bradshaw. It's about abusive parents rather than partners, but so often one leads to the other.

Oh another one I find very useful is the Shirley Glass one about emotional affairs but I can’t remember it’s name

The freedom programme for those who have left abusive relationships. Very important to complete the programme before starting another relationship so women are able to spot read flags in potential partners.
