Does your DP/DH leave love notes?

I just came home from work and DP left me the loveliest note and even sprayed his pillow with his cologne (so I wouldn't miss him as he's not in tonight). My exH didn't even remotely do that... What about your OHs?

No, he used to though. Been together 13 years now and I'm lucky if I get a birthday card. I'm not really sure when it stopped, but I wish it hadn't.

leighdinglady · 26/09/2018 21:15

Haha no. I'd be pissed off that my pillow stank of bloke. A text saying he misses me will suffice. We have been together 10 years though.

Whisky2014 · 26/09/2018 21:27

Nope but he did when we were at your stage :)

RefuseTheLies · 26/09/2018 21:30

He'll also hide things around the house for me to find.

My toddler does that with her half eaten toast.

Dahlietta · 26/09/2018 21:41

No, but I believe he genuinely likes the ones I leave for him Grin

hugoagogo · 26/09/2018 21:44

Thankfully no.

Haireverywhere · 26/09/2018 22:04

@RefuseTheLies

It probably sounded quite childish out of context Blush but he has some cognitive problems that make things tricky and we are in MC, so it means a lot to me that he's put the effort into hiding a favourite chocolate bar in my dressing table drawers or mini perfume bottle in the dog's cupboard, and little notes about how he feels about me etc, because these have never stopped in all our years together despite lots having changed.

60sname · 26/09/2018 22:39

He sends me the heart eyes and the aubergine emoji on WhatsApp Grin

Ah, the early days
We’re so lovely
Enjoy
It’s still lovely now
But they were special

mummyhaschangedhername · 26/09/2018 23:52

Early days then, enjoy!

I guess we do, sort of, mine will write he loves me on my note books or shopping lists and we both send texts, gifs etc saying I love you. Rarely write much more than that though! Been married 11 years (I just had to ask him how long we have been married lol)

tigercub50 · 26/09/2018 23:56

No but he’s very good at keeping in touch generally. Wish he was a bit more romantic. He wouldn’t think of booking me a spa day for example or buying presents when it’s not an occasion. I do get 2 dozen roses, posh chocs & a card for Valentines Day though ❤️

Didsomeonesaybunny · 27/09/2018 00:04

Yes - ex would write me limericks and leave the dotted around the house or in my bag/lunch. I loved that about him.
