Confused about this situation

My DP of 6 years has recently started to push me during arguments. I'ts never really physically hurt me, not felt particularly scared or anything.

In the past (while suffering terrible PND and anxiety) I threw something at him once during an argument which I am mortified about. I'm not in anyway using mental health as an excuse here, just for background really.)

For background if relevant, We have DS(4) and DD (2) first baby was a huge surprise after only a few months of dating. He works full time, I'm a SAHM, we jointly own house.

I suppose the point of my post is 1) because once this is out there with family or friends judgements will be made so it's easier to discuss anonymously and 2) I obviously feel I've invited this aspect of the relationship given past behaviour, and 3) I'm not sure if this is actually DV? It doesn't feel like it? Am I whining about something unnecessarily?

Sorry for rambling yet simultaneously brief post, I twice wrote very detailed posts which I then accidentally deleted.

It’s not ok and it is domestic violence as he is pushing you. While it was wrong of you to throw something at him that doesn’t mean it’s ok for him to push you.
I think that if there’s something happening in your relationship that you don’t want to tell friends about then it shows that something is definitely wrong. It’s also very possible, likely even that the pushing will become something worse

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Things are all reasonably steady in other areas of the relationship so it seems bizarre and out of the blue for it to start suddenly after almost 6 years.
