Was that text for me?

Name changed.

Over my partners house, I’ve come upstairs to make a phone call. Literally only been up here 30 seconds when I get a text

“I could do you a very fun swap”.

Then straight after “sorry, wasn’t for you”

I’m now in the bathroom wondering what it meant and who it was for

Obviously I’m gunna ask him once he comes up.

I feel like I read this forum too much. I have no reason to not trust him but I’ve read too many posts on here about similar circumstances to know what this sometimes means

Ask to see the thread of messages it should've been sent to?

Kennycalmit · 19/08/2018 21:39

He's got explicit photo's of you??

None of them have my face in and could be anybody unless the person knows me naked. Besides I have plenty of him too

I wouldn't like this. You should ask to see the message thread.

Batshitcrazy82 · 19/08/2018 21:41

Hope it's nothing but it would ring alarm bells for me.

Opensesame1 · 19/08/2018 21:41

Aww it makes me think dodgy pics too OP. I hope it's innocent though...

picklemepopcorn · 19/08/2018 21:43

Just reply saying 'come on then, you first'. If it's innocent he should be able to explain it.

Jeffers3 · 19/08/2018 21:43

Equally could be talking about a bike or someother piece of equipment.

AmazingGrace16 · 19/08/2018 21:45

Are you still upstairs?

Caaarrrl · 19/08/2018 21:45

I can see why you would be concerned. It is strange. If it is innocent hen he will be able to show you the whole conversation and who it was meant for.

I would be asking him to come upstairs for a chat even though his parents are there.

knicksfan · 19/08/2018 21:45

What anchor said

Kennycalmit · 19/08/2018 21:47

Phew! Panic over guys

I asked him.
It was a conversation between him and his friend. He showed me the text. He’s using his friends van for the day to pick some stuff up in exchange for a ride on the back of his bike

I didn’t go raging in and accuse him. I just casually asked what it was about and he explained, I acted all confused as if I couldn’t understand what he meant so he showed me the messages.

MrsMozart · 19/08/2018 21:51

Goodo!

Elderflower14 · 19/08/2018 21:51

Glad it wasn't anything dodgy. Nice to see a happy ending!!

BunsOfAnarchy · 19/08/2018 21:55

Damn so many thought it was related to nudes or cheating. My first thought was swapping players in fantasy football lol!

Glad this had a happy ending

Kennycalmit · 19/08/2018 21:55

Thank you! I’m so relieved haha

jelly449 · 19/08/2018 22:08

Yay an innocent thread for once! They do exist :-)

Caaarrrl · 19/08/2018 22:10

So glad it's all ok.

Oly5 · 19/08/2018 22:13

Fab, so pleased rational mumsnetters didn’t jump to the conclusion he was cheating on you

NotMyFinestMoment · 19/08/2018 22:17

What is suspect is the very second your back is turned, he's firing off a text to someone... That would make me a bit suspicious.
